“God’s Story for the Outback” booklet and kids’ pack
God’s Story for the Outback is a simple Biblical overview in the form of a colouring-in booklet with 48 little cameos of Bible stories.
It is designed for indigenous children, their parents and grandparents – who are encouraged to read with them, and Sunday School teachers in indigenous communities.
Initially produced in simple English, the God’ Story booklet was then enthusiastically tackled by the Kriol translation team and later also translated into Pitjantjatjara. Today it is available in eight Aboriginal languages and English.
The printing and free distribution of God’s Story to children in remote communities is a project of the Bible Society.
Over the past two years, thousands of God’s Story packs have been produced containing:
- the God’s Story children’s colouring booklet;
- a pack of coloured pencils;
- a Jesus writstband; and
- a Colin Buchanan CD.
These have been produced and distributed free of charge to indigenous communities across the Outback, Top End and Torres Strait. This has been possible through the generosity of Bible Society donors.
You can be a part of supplying indigenous children and youth with such Scriptures resources by donating today. Donations to this project are tax deductible.
