Where do you live and go to church?

Currently in Melbourne working as a Pastor at City on a Hill: Melbourne, with a plan to move to Brisbane to plant a new church.

Name a Bible character you resonate with and why.

Thomas. I like how real he is in doubting the resurrection of Jesus, and then how ‘all-in’ he is once he sees Jesus. His testimony is one of the reasons I’m a Christian. One of my children is named after him!

What are you reading in the Bible at the moment?

At City on a Hill we are currently teaching through Jesus’ Beatitudes from Matthew 5. It’s the first time I’ve slowed down through this section and am being struck by the comprehensive picture of what it means to be part of Jesus’ Kingdom and how that must shape how we respond to God and others.

Where do you read the Bible?

Lots of places! The train, bed, my desk, the toilet! But my favourite place is our kitchen table.

Name one part of the Bible you keep coming back to again and againand why.

1 Corinthians 15. Jesus died for sin, was buried, was raised, appeared. It’s at the heart of what I believe and don’t want to ever move on from the good news of Jesus! #KeepTheGospelOnRepeat

Describe one of your Bible reading failures and what you learned.

Keeping up with a daily reading plan out of duty. My prayer is that God would give me the desire to delight in his word as a way of delighting in him.

Just for fun: If you were a monster what would be your defining feature?

The ability to fly.
